On the coast of the Isle of Jura lies the Jura distillery. The whiskies made here are influenced by two important elements—time and tide. Jura’s 2019 Aged Vintage series pays homage to its home island with two limited-edition releases: Tide for the domestic market and the travel retail exclusive Time. Jura 21 Years Old Time initially matured in ex-bourbon casks and has been enhanced with a smoky finish in ex-peated malt casks. On the nose, you’ll find gentle peat, honeyed chocolate, coffee mouse, creamy toffee and sea salt. The palate reveals flavours of tropical fruits, lemon curd, black treacle, gingerbread and salted peat smoke. The finish has lingering hints of dark chocolate, peat and caramel. Jura 21 Years Old Time is a stunning ode to an exceptional island.
