Dungeons 2 is a colorful strategy game like Dungeon Keeper. The charming style and the mix of running ominous dungeons and raiding the world makes Dungeons 2 a solid game. The terrible jokes during the campaign however, do not do the atmosphere in this game good.
Those who felt turned off by the critically maligned Dungeons would do well to give Dungeons 2 a look. It evolves the dungeon management subgenre in a number of clever ways, and the hands-on strategy elements make for a fantastic compliment.
10/10 would play this again x100 I love it to the hearts desire and it is very addictive it brings the DK to HD and is better to my opinion and very funny
7/10 ??? How ????
It is a 9/10 , and will be a 10 with some bug fixing and maybe an expansion ??
Most fun I´ve had in a long time with a game. Get this game on sale thnx.
Dungeons 2 is nowhere near the level I wanted it to be. It would have been nice to see an evolution of the dungeon management genre that takes things to the level of complexity of city-builders like Pharaoh or Zeus...Instead, the title is a low complexity strategy game with some real-time strategy mechanics, providing a fun experience if you’re looking for something that could be described as a modern day Dungeon Keeper.
The basic substance of Dungeons 2 is really good. You can tell that the developers had good ideas and have invested a lot of heart and soul into their baby.
Dungeons 2 is a most successful RTS/management game than its lackluster predecessor, but is not yet able to approach to the same levels of Dungeon Keeper (and after all it was obvious). This Realmforge Studios hybrid works in the management part (funny and quite deep), but loses points when it tries to be Warcraft III and offers too simplistic RTS sections with little personality.
Developers from Realmforge added several own ideas, innovations and improvements to the functional core of Dungeon Keeper. Unfortunately, they also made a lot of errors during this process.
Dungeons II is a fantastic sequel to the original Dungeons games as it totally revamps the franchise and takes a completely different approach. There are several things about this game that are like-able and noteworthy. Kevan Brighting is the narrator for Dungeons II and if the name doesn't ring a bell he's the gentleman whom also narrated The Stanley Parable. I also LOVE that there are objectives to capture/complete but you can take your sweet time doing so. The only complaint I have is you cannot rotate the screen at all like you can in the first Dungeons game. :(
Dungeons 2 is a very enjoyable game. A story is neither rich nor extensive but the game has a simple formula to hold us for countless hours.
I highlight the narrator who is phenomenal. It's extremely funny and entertaining, he turns out to be something I we're always expecting waiting for another crazy comment he has to make.
The game itself is not graphically phenomenal, but I enjoy is "cartoonish" style. The game mechanics are simple and somewhat repetitive, with little diversity of different creatures. But overall is a fun game and I fully recommend it.
Here is small YouTube vide with the first minutes of the gameplay if you wanna check it out: ****/ajC97RECSkA
Had this for a while now. Never been able to stop a C+++ error from crashing it. have only 4.2 hours in the game as I cant progress or do much because it crashes. Support was slow and the advice when it came did not address the issue. Ultimately, was told to drop it below 2560x1440. I have 2 monitors, one is 4k and the other (which I have been trying to run this on most of the time, is 2560 x 1440. Gave up, waste of money.
Gameplay so far was ok but very linear which puts me off making anymore effort to resolve it.
SummaryIn Dungeons 2, fulfill the Dungeon Lord’s voracious quest for vengeance by recruiting fearsome new monsters from all corners of the underworld in order to undertake his evil bidding.
